On “Bipolarity of the Mind.”

Currently, it is suggested that dementia is caused by both a mental problem and a decline in visceral function.

While it is possible to numerically identify the cause of the “decline in visceral function,” it is not so easy to identify the cause of “mental problems. Recently, it has become possible to quantify and visualize the problem through stress checks and other methods, but what is really the problem? What triggers the reduction? What is the root cause of the load on the mind? What is best for the mind? It is impossible to define these things.

“Communication.”

People live in interaction with others, and hope, despair, good deeds, and bad deeds are created through communication with others. People are born with an innate understanding of good and evil. It is not a question of which side one stands on, but rather, one is born knowing what is good and what is evil.

However, people use this good and evil differently from time to time. This is the root of the “problem of the heart.

No one is 100% sincere. Trying to be sincere at all times may be more difficult than winning a gold medal in the Olympics.

“Sufferings.”

It is said that if we do good, we will have an “easy” life, and if we do evil, we will have a “painful” life. However, at any given time, there is always a “bipolarity” in the mind, like good and evil, suffering and pleasure.

Like the positive and negative of electricity.

That is how the natural world works. We have negative feelings on the other side of positive feelings. I can do it! I can do it! the more I chant, the more I doubt myself that I can't do it.

“Yes/No”

With or without life, for example.

  • Creation and destruction

  • Offense and defense

  • Action and cessation

  • Duty and flight

  • Pioneering and following

  • Decision and hesitation

  • Commandments and sentiments

  • Training and futility

  • Continuation and setback

And so on.

Through this blog, I would like to think about how to balance the mind and what stance to take depending on the situation at any given time.

I would like to step into the issue of the mind and think about the cause of dementia. It is a strange thing to say that illness is also a manifestation of the mind and a lifestyle-related disease. In this blog, I mentioned about “bipolarity of the mind,” the fact that the mind, like electricity, has a positive and a negative side. Either bias can cause problems. I believe that maintaining a balance between the two can ultimately help prevent dementia. Let's think and talk together about questions that have no answers. We may be able to reach some kind of answer.

It will surely be the sharpness of life.

I believe so.
